After quitting a big Japanese company, I started affiliate marketing.
It was my first business experience.
What is affiliate marketing?
Its definition is below.
Affiliate marketing is the process of earning a commission by promoting other people’s (or company’s) products. You find a product you like, promote it to others and earn a piece of the profit for each sale that you make.
(quoted from: Pat Flynn’s Smart Passive Income)
That is, if your readers bought products from your blog, you could get commissions.
You can earn money without having your own products.
It’s easy way to start business for beginners.
So I recommend affiliate marketing as your first business.
Before I started my business, I had a favorite product about learning communication skill.
I had introduced the products to some friends of mine without commissions at that time.
Then, I noticed that I could earn commissions by introducing the product on my blog.
Six month after I had started affiliate marketing as this way, I could earn $3,000 a month.
It was not difficult.
Because I was familiar with the product and I could sincerely recommend it to everyone.
So you had better choose such a product for affiliate marketing.
If you introduce a product just for earning money, you would be failed. Your readers are not foolish.
They can easily see through your true intentions.
